Cory Steed, OD
Dr. Steed did his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University, graduating with honors as a member of the National Honor Society. His doctorate was earned at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, where he was the recipient of several clinical awards and graduated with honors in 2001. Dr. Steed then pursued an additional year of study with the Eye Care Associates of Nevada, completing a residency in disease and surgical comanagement.
Dr. Steed also enjoys serving in his church and community, offering free seminars to educate people on the effects of diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and other systemic disorders on the eye.
In spare time he enjoys golf, SCUBA, photography, hiking, running, and travel. (For now though most of his time is spent in the new practice and with his wife and two boys).
Holly
Holly Steed fills several roles at Insight Eye Care: office manager, accountant, optician, receptionist, technician, custodian, and baby manager. She has her bachelor's degree in Music Education and was a high school choir teacher in Las Vegas for over 3 years before she and Doctor Steed opened his practice together. In addition to Insight Eye Care and being a full time mom, she still finds time to continue her choral directing at church and cwith the Clark County Children's Choir, a non-profit choir for the valley's kids.
Joshua
Joshua enjoys getting his eyes checked, constructing complex rail patterns with Thomas the Train tracks, browsing the internet (noggin.com is a favorite), and playing with Cameron. He enjoys amusement park rides, spending time with Mom and Dad, riding bikes, and singing in the Clark County Children's Choir. He is still a proficient climber and likes to methodically approach each and every ascent up the climbing wall.
When he is in the office "working" he still enjoys reviewing Optomap images with patients, helping organize the lab, and working closely with Holly.
Cameron
Cameron is a natural comic. He also likes to do whatever Joshua, his older brother, is doing. He enjoys vacuuming, watching Old Yeller, playing with Thomas the Train, and going for bike rides. His most recent trip to Disneyland confirmed a long-suspected predisposition to be a thrill seeker. As he and Joshua get older they are both seen less frequently in the office, but still enjoy visits now and then.
Zachary
Zachary is the most recent addition to the Insight Eye Care family. Barely making it in 2008 he was almost named Beni for tax reasons, but better minds prevailed. He loves being swaddled with his legs folded across his abdomen and arms tucked tightly around his chest. He's got a very even temperment and is only getting up twice a night to eat after only one week. We've got high hopes of peaceful nights in the near future. Zachary brings a sweet spirit into our home and we welcome him with great love into our family. We look forward to the years ahead.
Andi
Andi is our office chameleon. Not only will you notice occasional hair changes but her eyeglass collection rivals that of Elton John (but she pulls it off better).
You'll see Andi behind the front desk, working in the lab, helping people as an optician, and keeping things running smoothly. Her organizational and personal skills makes her a perfect candidate as our office assistant manager.
Sandra
Sandra joins us as an ABO certified Spanish speaking optician who is currently in the process of finishing her NCLE. Her goals include becoming an optometrist and practicing in the field of low vision. In addition to her career aspirations she enjoys long walks on the beach, gazing into the starry night sky, and getting caught in the rain.
Jennfier
Jen works as one of Dr. Steed's "right hands." She greets patients, prepares charts, collects exam data, and keeps the exam schedule running smoothly. In her spare time she enjoys volleyball, looking for ways to be competitive, and being from Forks (have you read the vampire series?). [At this point you may have acutually heard a *sigh*. This is not your computer's sound card malfunctioning, but rather an audible wistful exhale from Sandra at the mention of Edward Cullen's name]
Zaira
Zaira is a key cog in the gears of Insight Eye Care. She quickly and effectively prepares patients for Dr. Steed. Her dedication to the practice, work ethic, and endless energy all contribue to a smooth running practice. In her spare time she manages her family, cooks on hotplates, and puts the world in order.
Brittany
Full of sirs and ma'ams Brittany's warm Southern charm quickly sets people at ease, yet her efficiency as a technician is far from a lazy summer's eve in Georgia.
When she's away from the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, settling into her new home, and exploring everything Las Vegas has to offer.
